Heirloom Pillows: Four Generations of Memories
MaryAnn commissioned a pillow for each of her children using textiles from her mother, her husband, her children, and her granddaughter.
Finished size: 20 X 20 inches
Daughter's Gift: First Communion dress, Christening gown, Grandma's apron, baby's 'blankey', Grandma's handkerchief, and her husband's favorite jacket. Fabric from MaryAnn's wedding gown has become the pillow sashing.
Son's Gift: In addition to several pieces common to his sister's pillow, the jacket pocket from his First Communion suit and pieces of his Christening clothing personalize this pillow of heirloom textiles.
