Each side of this body pillow measures 54" X 20". Together the 2 panels hold the same number of T-Shirts as a small-sized lap blanket but having a big, cozy, body pillow to lounge with was what Lynn decided to commmission for her son after his dad died.

Tracy arrived at eileen's studio with several bags filled with her mother's fashion trademark: colorful silk scarves. She had decided to transform them into decorative pillows. The scarves were grouped together based on their colors, patterns, and scale then hand-stitched to a backing fabric in 'crazy-quilt' fashion to create these beautiful 15" X 15" pillows.

Gloria's husband wore plaid dress shirts. They were his signature clothing 'uniform'. Using fabric from his favorite shirts Gloria commissioned two pillows: one for her son, and the other for her mother-in-law. Using the remaining shirt fabric she commissioned a quilted lap blanket for herself. Pillow dimensions: 21" X 16".

Leslye's husband wore silk neckties to work every day. She decided that pillows made from his neckties would be a meaningful gift for her two sons... and a fitting way to honor their father's memory. She grouped the ties together by color... golden tones for one son... blues for the other. Silk from 16 different neckties were combined to create each of these 18" pillows.
This was eileen’s “Welcome To The World” gift to Ilana. At first her mother used it for support while feeding her newborn daughter. Ilana is now 5 years old and the pillow holds pride of place on her bed. Pillow dimensions: 38.5” X 14.5”
There are years of memories locked in this school uniform. Both the front and back of this pillow were made by combining two components of a uniform: a green sweater and a plaid skirt. eileen used pieces from the plaid skirt to 'fill in' where the sweater had been worn and torn. This oversized pillow commemorated Jeremy’s birth 3 years ago and welcomed him to the world! Today this well-loved pillow sits on his bed along with other favorites.
Malcolm came to eileen's studio with his favorite beat-up black jeans. He had bleached them in college, and wore them for years until 20 years later... they no longer fit. Malcolm had saved them because he couldn't part with them. He approached eileen with this request: "Using only the fabric from my jeans, transform them into the biggest pillows you can make." The result: Two very 'skinny' pillows and one very happy man! Finished length: 22"
This pillow was commissioned as a Christmas gift. Dave had been an avid golfer. His widow asked eileen to design this and 4 other pillows to be gifted to family members. Using fabric from her husband's favorite golf shirts, logos from the clubs where he played, and manufacturer's labels from the shirts the creative work began! Pillow dimensions: 18" X 18".
Joy's father favored his seersucker suit and wore it often. After his death Joy decided that transforming the suit's trousers into a pillow would be a comfort. Keeping key design elements intact eileen designed this decorative pillow. The waistband, belt loops, and rear pocket give evidence that the pillow had once been something else. Cleaning out her storage room Nancy spotted a long-forgotten jacket her son had worn years ago. It was covered with badges he had earned in marksmanship at summer camp. Jody’s comment as she handed eileen her daughter’s well-loved and well-worn baby blanket: “PLEASE do something with this baby blanket. My daughter treasures it! Twenty-one years ago when it was new, it was fresh and beautiful. When Janice's husband died he left behind a closet full of elegant silk neckties. She decided that a pillow made from his neckties, his signature fashion accessory, would be the obvious keepsake for her two grandchildren. Joy’s father had worn a silk necktie most days of his adult life and had accumulated many of them through the years. Following his death Joy collected 68 favorites and grouped them by color: the reds, blues, champagnes, and rust colored ties. She gave them to eileen with specific instructions: "Construct 4 rectangular pillows positioning the neckties in the sequence I have drafted." Shortly after her mom died Amy contacted eileen: "My mom really loved her cable-knit sweaters!" Amy explained that after returning from a long day at work her mom regularly replaced her nursing uniform with comfy jeans paired with a cotton sweater. Amy asked eileen to use the sweaters to make a grouping of decorative pillows for her father and gifted the collection to him in her mother’s memory. Pillow dimensions: 12" X 12"
These heirloom pillows hold four generations of memories. MaryAnn commissioned gift pillows for her two children using textiles from her mother, mother-in-law, husband, daughter, son, and granddaughter. Her daughter's gift included her first communion dress, christening gown, Grandmother's apron, her baby 'blankey', Grandma's handkerchief, as well as her father's favorite jacket. Fabric from MaryAnn's wedding gown became the sashing that separated the nine component fabrics from each other. Pillow dimensions: 20" X 20".

The ingredients for this Memory Pillow: Red satin fabric framing the plum linen fabric on the front and back of this pillow was taken from one of Tamara’s favorite garments, an elegant short coat with wide cuffs and ample pockets. Coral beads stitched beside Tamara’s photograph had been part of her favorite necklace. A colorful length of a sock — included because Tamara always wore lively accessories. She also regularly penned Haikus, and so they were included as well. Pillow dimension: 20” X 20”
The call came a few weeks before Christmas from Kathleen in Chicago. She requested a grouping of pillows using clothing from her god-child, a young woman who had died several years ago. Working with nothing more than the articles of clothing sent from Chicago eileen made 5 pillows using a crazy quilt motif as a model.
