This wall hanging, similar to SWEET DREAMS FOR CHRISTIE AND JAY, uses a cool palate of colors. Blue, green, and lavender cotton batiks surround three panels of reverse appliquéd hearts crafted by Hmong textile artists. This gives the piece a restful calm. One inch strips of fabric have been quilted to frame the three heart panels, bringing unity to the piece. Quilted tabs extend the design beyond the borders of the finished edges. The piece hangs from a wooden rod stained a warm brown to coordinate with the component pieces. (The stuffed hearts hanging from the support rod are also the work of Hmong textile artists.)
