Avi’s mom wanted to do something special to commemorate her son becoming a Bar Mitzvah. This event would signal her son’s entry into the adult religious community. A quilted collection of his childhood activities would celebrate the passing of his childhood. The memories incorporated into this quilt tell a story about Avi.
Construction: Dark green sashing frames each of the 20 rectangular memory images. The quilt top is finished with a border and binding of midnight blue batik. The quilt backing is a matching batik fabric.
